Stella has now been to her first live concert and she loved it! We have been letting her watch Yo Gabba Gabba episodes on the Roku for a while. I always had a fondness for the show since both Molly and Maddie were big fans. We love the message, style and guest appearances on the show. Many of OUR favorite bands turn up on the episodes. Stella pretty immediately loved the show too. We try to limit the television she watches, but definitely allow her this one. She can say the names of all the characters and loves the music. We also listen to the Yo Gabba Gabba Pandora Station too. So when we saw that they were coming to town we had to take her. The show was at the Nokia Theater at LA Live in downtown LA. This is a busy entertainment center including The Staples Center, The Convention Center, ESPN Zone, Grammy Museum, tons of restaurants, clubs, hotels, etc. Right now there is a giant Christmas Tree and ice skating rink. The Auto Show was also going on and the place was filled with people. We were a little nervous how this endeavor would go but it was such a great night. We could not have asked for it to have gone any better or enjoyed it more!
We had a great Thanksgiving Dinner at my Aunt Cathi’s tonight. I brought the Pumpkin Gingerbread Trifle above. Unfortunately my Parents were not able to make it as they are in a midwestern real estate limbo that nobody is thankful for. We also missed my Brother-in-Law Tim and my niece Genna, who were quarantined at home. Stella had a blast playing with her cousin Maddie, the two of them flirting with disaster again and again in my Ceramicist Aunt’s home filled with one of a kind treasures. Stella managed to break a poor dragonfly. (So sorry Aunt C!) She also decided to boycott her high chair in a very dramatic fashion as we sat down to dinner. Nonetheless, we had a very nice holiday visiting with those that were in attendance. I am thankful for another wonderful year with many great friends, amazing family, my sweet and generous husband and my darling baby girl.
Mad Hatter: Would you like a little more tea?
Alice: Well, I haven’t had any yet, so I can’t very well take more.
March Hare: Ah, you mean you can’t very well take less.
Mad Hatter: Yes. You can always take more than nothing.
Mad Hatter: Have I gone Mad?
Alice: I’m afraid so. You’re entirely bonkers. But I’ll tell you a secret. All the best people are.
